Taxpayers Losing Our Hair And Minds

Re: Mayor ‘nervous about timing’ of deal with Ottawa on Olympic bid, Oct. 3

So our mayor is losing his hair and his mind over the delayed announcement of Olympic funding from the federal government? He should be losing his hair and his mind over the failure of the things he was elected to oversee, like snowplowing, for starters.

We had a little snow on Oct. 2, and we had to get other cities to supply snow moving equipment and labour. A total embarrassment!

The forecast indicated days in advance that the snow was coming, and still no one was ready for it.

And yet, the mayor wants to spend billions of dollars we obviously don’t have on a 16-day party.

Get your priorities straight. As the taxpayers who will be forced to cough up those billions of dollars, we should be losing our hair and our minds over this. I know I am.
