TRANS MOUNTAIN’S FINAL PRICE TAG TO BE RELEASED NEXT MONTH
The company planning to build the taxpayerowned Trans Mountain pipeline expansion will release the project’s final price tag at the end of November. The pledge was made on Thursday in a conference call with Canada Development Investment Corporation, a government holding company that oversees financial transactions for Trans Mountain Corp., the newly formed Crown corporation that operates the Trans Mountain pipeline. CDEV executives also suggested during the call that part of the expansion would be funded by budget deficits. The original deal to purchase Trans Mountain from Kinder Morgan was valued at $4.5-billion. Trans Mountain did not elaborate on what the final value of the purchase might be.
