‘Tiny’ comedian’s tiny house for rent

Calgary Herald - - NEW HOMES - MELISSA HANK

Self-described tiny man Kevin Hart has designed his ideal tiny house — and you’ll soon be able to rent it.

The comedian partnered with Booking.com for his new 268-square-foot (25-square-metre) custom-built residence in New York City. The space features a fullsized bed in the upstairs loft, a full bath, a kitchen and a living room with a fully stocked bar cart.

Hart also added personal items to cosy up the space: the bed’s mattress and hardwood floors are his own, the sockets have his initials, and framed photos of him serve as accents.

“I’m a tiny individual,” Hart told NBC’s Today show during a tour of the space. “I like my comfort to be where I can access everything the way I like to access everything.”

Once the house is relocated to Hart’s hometown of Elizabethtown, Penn., it will be available for rent on Booking.com for US$175 a night.

Comedian Kevin Hart describes himself as a tiny man, so it was a natural fit for him to partner with Booking.com on a tiny house. Built in New York City, it will be moved to his hometown of Elizabethtown, Pa., where it will be available for rent through the website.
