Panda watch!

Did that grab your attention? If so, you’ll want to head over to the Calgary Zoo’s newest online attraction.

It’s called the PandaCam, and it allows avid bear watchers to glimpse the black and white creatures every day between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The streaming video feed went live on Saturday, which happened to be the third birthday for panda cubs Jia Panpan and Jia Yueyue.

“What better way to celebrate this momentous occasion than by welcoming panda fans from around the globe to see Jia Panpan and Jai Yueyue receive some birthday enrichment,” said Matt Korhonen, curator with the Calgary Zoo.

In addition to the PandaCam kickoff, the zoo held two specially themed parties on Saturday to honour each of the cubs.

Jia Yueyue had a butterfly garden party while Jia Panpan was treated to a dinosaur-themed party.

But the panda birthday celebrations weren’t limited to one day.

The zoo also hosted birthday events for the cubs on Sunday, featuring games, activities and traditional Chinese birthday celebrations.
