Driver killed in crash on Stoney Trail
Police are investigating after a man was killed in a collision on Stoney Trail on Monday.
According to Alberta Health Services, emergency medical services were called to the east side of Calgary’s ring road about 11:40 a.m. for reports of a singlevehicle crash near the McKnight Boulevard overpass.
When paramedics arrived, it was determined that an adult male, the only occupant of the vehicle, had died. No one else was injured. Police said the driver was heading northbound on the busy freeway at the time of the crash.
No details on the cause of the crash were available.
