PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN EXPECTING
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on the first major overseas tour of their marriage Monday, touching down in Sydney, Australia, as the palace announced they are expecting their first baby.
The Duchess, who is around three months pregnant and due to give birth in the spring, will continue with all elements of the tour, the palace said, as the couple shared their delight at the “very happy news.”
The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be “delighted for the couple.”
Thomas Markle, the Duchess’ father, is understood to have been kept in the dark about the news, after a series of indiscreet interviews in which he shared details of his daughter’s life with the tabloids left them estranged.
The baby will be seventh in line to the throne.
The Sussex baby will not be given the title of Prince or Princess unless the Queen personally intervenes.
