A familiar face is on his way back to Calgary.

On Monday morning, sources confirmed a report from 3DownNation’s Justin Dunk that the Calgary Stampeders are signing receiver Bakari Grant.

Grant spent 2016 with the Stampeders after playing for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for five years. The 31-year-old had 1,033 receiving yards in 2017 for the Saskatchewan Roughriders but was released at the end of training camp this year.

His familiarity with the Stampeders system should be a boost for a team that’s been decimated by injuries to its receiving corps and has struggled to move the ball through the air in its last two games.

Grant will be added to the practice roster this week, pending a physical.
