Hefner’s jacket is on the market

-

A collection of Hugh Hefner’s personal items, including his iconic red smoking jacket, will go up for sale. The Playboy founder died at age 91 in September 2017, after a cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. A selection of items, including Hefner’s black silk pyjamas and white captain’s hat, will be up for sale in a twoday auction by Julien’s, beginning on Nov. 30. The smoking jacket is expected to fetch US$5,000, while the pyjamas are worth US$2,000. All proceeds from the auction will go to The Hugh M. Hefner Foundation, which was established in 1964 to advocate for civil liberties and rights. Other items at the auction include one of his signature pipes, a complete set of bound Playboy magazines, an original Playboy Club key, his Hollywood Walk of Fame Star from the mansion, and his Playboy logo cufflinks.
