Leadership needed on climate change
The MPs who attended the emergency climate debate Monday night were impressive for the ideas they brought forward and the urgency with which they spoke. Ideas like having a federalprovincial meeting to sort out how Canada will tackle the problem of decreasing greenhouse gas emissions by 45 per cent in the next 12 years were excellent.
I hope this brings out leadership in all parties to come together to tackle this problem.
We have seen that the carbon tax is the best way to move this along. I hope that our leaders can put partisan politics aside for the good of the entire Earth and come forward publicly with a concrete plan for Canada. We need leadership now from our premiers and from our prime minister.
