Album salutes artist’s dead cat

Bono, Pharrell Williams and Michael Stipe have written songs for a tribute album honouring French artist Sophie Calle’s dead cat. Calle has put together a 37-track collection memorializing her late feline, Souris, a name that means mouse in English. It opens with Message to Souris by Bono, recorded via voice mail. Jarvis Cocker, The National, Laurie Anderson and Casey Spooner have also contributed songs to the album.
