So Oct. 17 has arrived and cannabis is legal across the country. Justin Trudeau was prepared to move heaven and earth to make sure this legislation came into effect.

If only he and his government had expended half of the effort they did on pot legislation on pipelines instead, we would have shovels in the ground and construction started on a pipeline to tidewater.

What a sad statement on where the priorities lay with this Liberal government. Randy Gillis, Calgary
