Weeknd to make movie debut

-

The Weeknd is reportedly set to make his movie debut in Adam Sandler’s crime drama Uncut Gems. The Canadian singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, was spotted on the set of the film in New York on Monday, sources have told New York Post’s Page Six. He reportedly performed during a scene with Sandler and rapper Trinidad James at popular nightclub 1 OAK, a location the funnyman suggested himself. It is not known how big the 28-year-old’s part is, or if he will be playing himself or a character. It will mark his first feature film role and the first time he has starred in a project onscreen besides his music videos.
