NISSAN TO JOIN FORMULA E
Nissan plans to show off its “world-leading ” EV technology by entering a brand-new car in the fifth season of the Formula E electric racing series. The brand, which has sold more than 365,000 examples of its Leaf electric road car, will draw upon its years of EV development to make an impact in Formula E. The new car features a custom electric motor, inverter and gearbox. While a new generation of Formula E cars will be on the grid this season, Nissan will have a chance to showcase what it can do against 10 other teams. Shell, oddly enough, has partnered with Nissan on the project. Driving.ca
