Man seriously injured in shooting
One man is in hospital after a shooting early Sunday morning in the city’s northeast.
Police say at about 4:30 a.m. officers located a man with a gunshot wound in the 5800 block of Memorial Drive N.E.
EMS transported an adult male to hospital in serious, potentially life-threatening condition. Paramedics did not treat any other patients at the scene, spokesman Stuart Brideaux said.
Investigators were at a house in the Marlborough Park neighbourhood Sunday morning, where both the front of the property and the back of the house were cordoned off. Police say no one is in custody and they are searching for the offender.
