PM should push pipeline projects

-

Prime Minister Trudeau insists that he is in favour of the Trans Mountain pipeline but does little to move it along.

By now I am sure that he is aware that he is unlikely to win the next election so it matters not that he could lose votes in Quebec by acting forcefully on the pipelines. Further, he is also very aware of the huge benefit to Canada that would come from moving our oil to market. This can be accomplished simply by declaring Trans Mountain and Energy East pipelines to be both in the national interest and approving them both by using the notwithstanding clause. The entire nation would benefit for many years to come.

Sir John A McDonald created Canada by way of the CPR in this manner. Trudeau can now save Canada by the use of the notwithstanding clause.
