Traffic stop nets 10 kg in cannabis
EDMONTON Possession and the licensed retail sale of cannabis are legal in Canada, but hauling a bunch in your vehicle is still frowned upon.
Two people have been charged with trafficking after an Oct. 11 traffic stop by Jasper Mounties uncovered 10 kilograms of marijuana and 750 grams of cannabis resin.
The contraband was found after officers stopped a “vehicle for an offence under the vehicle equipment regulations,” RCMP said.
Two men from Westlock are due in court Nov. 22 in Jasper.
