Netflix axes Luke Cage

Netflix has cancelled Marvel’s Luke Cage. Showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker confirmed the news on social media, thanking fans for watching the three seasons of the show. “... Just want to say thank you to Marvel, Netflix, the best writers’ room, cast, crew, the Midnight Hour, all those who graced the stage at Harlem’s Paradise and the most incredible fan base in the world,” he tweeted. Cast member Karen Pittman retweeted a video of New York subway riders praising the show, writing: “(Luke Cage) reflects the everyday ordinary man, trying to find his way. No matter the colour, creed, background. That will never be cancelled.”
