Injuries reported in highway crash early Wednesday
A serious crash shut down the Trans-Canada Highway west of Field, B.C., on Wednesday.
B.C. Emergency Health Services spokesperson Shannon Miller said two crews were called to the scene of the accident at 7:43 a.m. on Wednesday.
Alberta Health Services spokesperson Adam Loria said one of their Banff ambulance units was called to the multi-patient event.
Loria added officials don’t believe there were any fatalities, but serious injuries were involved.
Drive B.C. said on Twitter the highway reopened around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
