PM dithers while revenue withers

-

Re: Canada bought an oil pipeline, how about adding some trains? Opinion, Oct. 24 It’s surprising (not) to see how Trudeau is not acting more urgently considering the amount of money lost with crude differential. You would think losing $84 million a day or $3.5 million every hour of revenue due to a price differential would trigger a parliamentary crisis and push this country’s leadership into action. Any sensible citizen would be alarmed at the prospect of incurring a paycheque meltdown.

Recently, the House of Commons held an emergency debate following a report being issued by the United Nations climate change arm. Granted climate change is an important issue we need to address, but the same urgency should apply to this matter affecting every Canadian. Our southern neighbour is getting richer with our resource. We are giving away our wealth and our government is ineffectual to act. Unfortunately, the trademark of our leader and his government is the unwillingness to take concrete actions on key issues.
