McLAREN TO OFFER GOLD BADGES

This is probably a long shot, but some of you reading this might be thinking, “How can I make my newly purchased McLaren Speedtail even more exclusive?” Well, Woking ’s favourite carmaker has announced that all 106 clients will be given the option to customize their new Hyper- GTs with bespoke McLaren badges, ones made entirely from 18-karat white gold. These special-edition examples are crafted entirely from 18-karat gold and carbon-fibre inlays. Interestingly, the latter material incorporates something called Thin Ply Technology (TPT), meaning the whole thing weighs less than 100 g, or less than a bar of soap. The badges come as part of a three-piece set, with two Speedmark emblems for the front and a single McLaren name for the rear. Each is also laser etched with a McLaren hallmark, showing the date of their creation by Vaughtons.
