Oct. 28: 11 a.m. Reformatio­n Day Sunday is celebrated with Pastor Deborah Kerr at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church at 8007 Bowness Road N.W. Afterwards all share in fellowship, birthday cake and beverage.

Nov. 2 to 4: Woodcliff United’s 28th annual Global Festival will support outreach projects like Habitat for Humanity. In addition to hosting the Ten Thousand Villages Market, there will be fun and free children’s activities that the whole family can enjoy on Friday night from 7 to 8 p.m. after the sale ends. Supervised drop-in children’s activities will be available Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. so parents can get some shopping done, too. A Children’s Market, Owl’s Nest Books, and the Global Cafe will be also open for the entire event.
