Tribute to boy, 3, who died in crash

-

A group of mothers is planning to gather in a Calgary park Tuesday to decorate it with balloons and streamers in honour of a threeyear-old boy killed after being struck by a vehicle in Vista Heights earlier this month.

Calgary mom Vonda-Lee Sharun is planning the tribute in honour of James Sinton, who died Oct. 19. Police said they believe the child was crossing the road on the way to a day home.

In an obituary, Sinton was described as “a bright child with wide blue eyes and a huge heart.”

“Anyone who knew Jamie said that he was a sweet, well-spoken boy with lots to say and plenty of personality,” the obituary stated. “He loved all animals, people, and anything with wheels.”

A memorial fund has been established for Sinton through a GoFundMe page, and had raised more than $14,000 by Monday afternoon.
