Two NWT cabinet ministers are facing a debate about whether they should be fired. Glen Abernethy, minister of health and social services, has been criticized following a damning auditor general’s report on children in government care. Infrastructure Minister Wally Schumann has been blamed for a decision to cancel a barge shipment that would have resupplied three communities. “The ministers (are) ultimately responsible for what the department does,” said MLA Kieron Testart, who introduced a revocation motion Monday.
