Shatner costume up for auction

The costume William Shatner was wearing when he made TV history is up for auction. The actor’s outfit from the Star Trek episode in which he kisses Nichelle Nichols’ character Nyota Uhura will be among the items listed on the Prop Store online sale on Dec. 1. The kiss, which aired 50 years ago this month, was the first interracial kiss on U.S. network television. The outfit is expected to fetch up to US$80,000.
