Arrest follows two robberies

RCMP in Red Deer say a 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two robberies involving an imitation handgun. The first incident took place on Nov. 3 when officers responded to a report that two men posing as potential buyers of a truck stole it during a test drive. On Nov. 4, RCMP say they responded to a taxi driver who was rob bed at gun point by a male. “RCMP obtained excellent descriptor­s and more surveillan­ce images and soon identified the suspect and linked him to the November 3 carjacking,” Mountiessa­id. Officers tracked down the suspect and took him into custody. RCMP say multiple charges are pending.
