Are we really a country?
Re: New Trans Mountain pipeline review doomed to fail: Vancouver mayor-elect, online Every day I read about how different provinces are blocking or celebrating a roadblock for the oil and gas industry in Canada.
How disingenuous is Vancouver’s mayor-elect who stated that they will support B.C. First Nations’ efforts to block the Trans Mountain pipeline. However, they do not care about B.C.’s First Nations, who are opposing natural gas development in the province. Similarly, eastern provinces like Quebec are opposing oil movement from Alberta to the East Coast due to “environmental concerns.” However, they have no problem using oil from other countries with horrible environmental and labour records.
Eastern Canadian provinces would rather make U.S. and other countries rich instead of creating jobs in their own.
