Canada soars to bronze in team trampoline
Canada captured bronze in the inaugural team event Thursday at the world trampoline championships in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Canadian squad featured two-time Olympic champion Rosie MacLennan of King City, Ont., Jason Burnett of Toronto, Jeremy Chartier of Montreal, Michael Chaves of Oakville, Ont., Jacob Cranham of Whitby, Ont., Zoe Lynn Hipel of Aurora, Ont., Sarah Milette of Longueuil, Que., Laurence Roux of Laval, Que., and Jon Schwaiger of Calgary. The event combines all five disciplines for men’s and women’s individual trampoline, synchronized trampoline, tumbling and double mini-trampoline. MacLennan had the highest score in women’s individual and combined with Milette for the top score in women’s synchro.
