Fibreglass Luna lamps give homes a celestial glow
Moon over ... your coffee table? Taiwanese design company Acorn Studio has released a collection of lanterns that look just like that.
Fittingly, they’re dubbed Luna lamps.
Each moon is made of fibreglass and uses LED lights to bring about its celestial glow.
The Luna lamps come in five sizes, ranging from 3.2 to 23.6 inches (8.1 to 60 cm) in diameter, and are priced between US$80 and US$910.
“Developed by our own team, all our Lunas are heat resistant, water repellent surface and antiscratch,” reads the description on
the Acorn Studio website. “After many hours of research we developed an exterior natural coating made of latex and natural mixed fibres durable to minor crashes.”
