PEACE
100 years ago, bells of peace rang out around the world as the Armistice was declared at 11am on November 11, 1918. The First World War was over. We commemorate the hundreds of thousands who served with Canada and Newfoundland, the tens of thousands who were killed, and the impact of the war on our young country. 100 years later, the Vimy Foundation is actively working to ensure that the stories of the First World War live on for generations. We will remember them.
