Pair of Broadway blockbusters have encore in Calgary
Two big Broadway productions have booked return engagements in Calgary in 2019.
Kinky Boots is strutting its stuff for one night only March 26 at the Jubilee Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now via ticketmaster.ca.
The hit musical was a collaboration between four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein and Grammy-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper, who won a Tony Award for Best Score for the show.
Kinky Boots is a heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family ’s struggling shoe factory and looking for a fresh idea.
Charlie finds inspiration in Lola, a fabulous performer in need of some sturdy new stilettos. Together they discover that it takes a good friend to make a great pair.
Also making a return trip to Calgary is The Illusionists, the Broadway Across Canada magic show. It shattered box office records showcasing jaw-dropping talents of five illusionists.
