FEMALE NAVAL OFFICER FACES SEX ASSAULT CHARGES
The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service has charged a female naval officer with multiple sexual assault-related offences. The charges, announced Wednesday, relate to alleged incidents during fall and winter 2017 involving other members of the Canadian Armed Forces on board HMCS Charlottetown. Navy Sub-Lieut. Aidan Louise Brownlee faces three counts of sexual assault, one count of assault, and three counts of “behaving in disgraceful manner” contrary to section 93 of the National Defence Act.
