Man dies in boating accident on Bow River

Mounties in Okotoks say a man is dead after a boating accident Thursday afternoon.

RCMP, along with the Foothills Regional Fire Department and Alberta Health Services, responded to the Bow River in the Municipal District of Foothills around 12:30 p.m. for reports of a missing boater.

The fire department utilized their water equipment and found the man downstream.

The man was airlifted by STARS air ambulance to the Foothills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
