Desperate need For visionaries

-

We can apportion blame on various levels of governments and the IOC, but negative city councillors torpedoed the bid from its early days with no vision of a city in decline. We may not have to face rusting steel mills or empty derelict factories as in Pittsburgh or Detroit, but we have our own empty towers.

We had the opportunity to grasp a mega government handout that would have given Calgary the boost it needs to look toward tomorrow. The death spiral has already set in, ‘Big Oil’ is leaving our city with no backward glance. We are just a small Canadian city on the prairies. Messiahs or visionaries please step forward.
