Two people were taken to hospital early Wednesday morning after falling from a cliff in Edworthy Park.

The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m., when a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman fell off Dead Man’s Cliff in the northwest park.

Both were taken to hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition.

They were “breathing and conscious” at the time, according to Calgary police.

EMS said “it took a long time to get them out” due to the conditions of the terrain.

It’s unclear what they were doing at the time of the fall, according to EMS.
