Postal strike leads to lost business
Re: Calgary, other Alberta cities hit by rotating postal strike, Nov. 6
I have used Canada Post for 18 years to ship packages to western Canadian locations in support of a post-retirement marketing function. After sending a package last month to rural Alberta, I was asked to ship an identical item to the same location and, because of the ongoing mail uncertainty, I chose to try UPS as an alternative.
The cost was almost the same and the package delivered in an amazing 22 hours to the recipient. My average $2,300 yearly shipping cost will now go to UPS rather than Canada Post.
