Izzard receives honorary degree

British comedian Eddie Izzard wore makeup and heels as he collected his honorary doctorate from York St John University in England on Tuesday. Izzard was presented with a Doctor of Letters degree for his work with languages, having performed in French, German and Spanish. “Which I, as a dyslexic person, like to call a Doctor of Lettuce,” he told reporters afterwards. “... It’s fun to do those things and then for someone to give you an honorary degree, as well.”
