Avowed oil critics now in charge of it

-

Re: Premier exploring options to lessen oil price pain; Notley appoints three envoys to help address record low crude discount, Nov. 20

The hypocrisy of the Notley government to hire such a vocal critic of the oil and gas industry such as Brian Topp to help remedy the oil price gap is reprehensible. Look at his anti-carbon history.

A spokesman for environmental protection groups, who helped Notley notch the carbon tax, and is one of the reasons we are in this predicament, is now hired to help the oil/gas industry.

This will be his remedy: slow down oil production to drive up the prices — nice on the outside, but he would like to have that a permanent solution.

Notley herself, when in opposition, was also a vocal anti-pipeline advocate, and she now hires someone who will help her real stance of less oil production permanently. They are truly sheep in wolves’ clothing.
