EDMONTON A British Columbia truck driver arrested earlier this week for alleged historical sexual offences involving a young girl had truck routes through Alberta, say police, urging any other complainants to come forward.

Kevin Alexander Roberts was arrested Monday by Vancouver police in connection with offences believed to be committed in Vancouver and Prince George.

The 46-year-old truck driver had routes that stretched into Alberta and he also worked as a school bus driver in the Prince George area. He’s known to have a transient lifestyle, added police.

His employment history includes working as a mover.

Roberts is charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, sexual assault with a weapon, invitation to sexual touching, assault, and assault causing bodily harm.

“These types of crimes are extremely traumatic and survivors live with the life-long impact,” Vancouver police Sgt. Jason Robillard said. “We are providing this information and a photo of the suspect, with hopes that we will uncover more information and help prevent this from happening to someone else.”

Police believe there are additional complainants who would have been between the ages of four and 18 at the time.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the Vancouver police’s sex crimes unit at 604-7170600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800222-8477.
