Learn to get along to get further along
Re: Heritage Park woes a sign of our tough times, Opinion, Nov. 26 and ‘Enough is enough’: Councillors, mayor accuse Farkas of ‘disrespecting’ colleagues, Nov. 28 While I wholeheartedly agree with most of the points made in this column, there is one thought I believe warrants further exploration.
It mentions Councillor Jeromy Farkas’s “bad-boy reputation” and its effect on the rest of his colleagues.
Farkas obviously has some worthwhile ideas and opinions. It is unfortunate that he lacks the skills and acumen to sell his vision to the rest of council. While I see growth, he still has not learned that one can disagree without being disagreeable.
All Calgarians are poorer (literally) for Councillor Farkas’s inability to effectively work with the rest of council. Peter Teppler, Calgary
