Fildebrandt should push separation

-

Re: Outrage over alleged collusion by NDP-UCP on committee membership, Nov. 28

Albertans don’t want to see Derek Fildebrandt and his ex-NDP friend standing in front of the media acting like whiny kids who were kicked out of their families because they couldn’t be team players. That is the petty politics that we have really lost our appetite for, especially in these catastrophic economic times. If Fildebrandt wants to maintain any political relevance, I suggest he make Alberta separation the foundation of his platform. Now more than ever, it is clear we need to redefine our relationship with Ottawa when they clearly care more about one auto plant than an entire industry.

I think he could gain enough support that he could keep the soon to be UCP government on its toes and hopefully make Ottawa realize that Albertans truly have had enough.

He has nothing to lose and everything to gain.
