Airdrie Mountie hit by fleeing vehicle

An Airdrie Mountie is recovering at Foothills Hospital after being struck and dragged by a fleeing vehicle. Shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, RCMP attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle but it took off. When officers caught up and got out of their unmarked cruiser, the driver of the car reversed at high speed, striking and dragging an officer and slamming into two police vehicles. The driver fled again but officers gave chase. The driver and three passengers have been arrested.
