Re: Notley moves to restrict oilsands production in face of price crisis, Dec. 3

I live in Ontario and care about the country as a whole. I think the majority of ordinary people want everyone to prosper and if that means pipelines so be it. I depend on natural gas to heat my home and oil to power my car.

The federal government has mishandled this file from the beginning, caring more about voters in Central Canada and B.C. We import oil from Saudi Arabia because provincial governments won’t allow a pipeline. How does that make sense?

I am very concerned about climate change but I am also concerned that people’s livelihoods are put at risk by people who don’t live in the province and who drive cars and heat their homes and turn their lights on every day. Gord Slemin, Barrie, Ont.
