Tariff on imported oil makes sense

Thank you, Ted Morton, for laying out facts and easily understood solutions regarding punitive low oil prices.

I was particularly impressed with your suggestion about how our uncaring federal Liberals could help at no cost.

As you rightly point out, they simply put a $40 tariff on the 80,000 barrels a day coming into the East Coast from OPEC. That would completely pay for the ship by rail costs incurred by Albertans — brilliant!

There are multiple levels on which this makes sense, but will our national leaders step up?
