Man arrested after trying to take weapon from police officer

Calgary police say a man is in custody after attempting to disarm a police officer.

Police were called to the 400 block of 2nd Street S.W. around 6:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a call about an unwanted guest.

Upon arriving, police said the suspect was very agitated. When they attempted to take the person into custody, he attempted to disarm an officer.

Police said nobody was injured in the incident.
