■ ATCO has been awarded two sig­nif­i­cant con­tracts to ser­vice projects in British Co­lum­bia. Through its wholly owned sub­sidiary, ATCO Struc­tures LNG Lim­ited Part­ner­ship, it has en­tered into a joint ven­ture with a sub­sidiary of Bird Con­struc­tion to de­sign, engi­neer and con­struct a 4,500-per­son work­force ac­com­mo­da­tion cen­tre, known as Cedar Val­ley Lodge, for work­ers in­volved in the new LNG Canada Kiti­mat ter­mi­nal. ATCO has also se­cured a new three-year con­tract to pro­vide camp sup­port ser­vices to Coeur Min­ing’s Sil­ver­tip mine in north­ern B.C., just south of the Yukon bor­der. As part of the con­tract, ATCO’s Fron­tec divi­sion will pro­vide food ser­vices and com­mis­sary, house­keep­ing and jan­i­to­rial, main­te­nance and front-desk man­age­ment for the 300-per­son fa­cil­ity.

■ Carolyn Wat­son has moved from the Cal­gary Telus Con­ven­tion Cen­tre to the po­si­tion of mar­ket­ing and me­dia re­la­tions man­ager with Ho­tel Arts Group. Her first task was to in­form that ex­ec­u­tive chef Quinn Sta­ple is an early adopter of the fresh greens picked ev­ery morn­ing at Cal­gary’s new aquaponic Deep­wa­ter Farms.
