Mccartney’s first musical

Sir Paul Mccartney is still finding new types of music to explore. The former Beatle is to contribute songs for a stage version of the classic Christmas movie It’s a Wonderful Life. It’s the first time Mccartney has worked on a musical in his 55 years of show business. He’s teaming up with Billy Elliot playwright Lee Hall and London West End producer Bill Kenwright. The 1946 film is about a banker who learns what his life is worth from a guardian angel. The show is to be staged in late 2020.
