Location, customization putting Argyle on the map
A new condo project launches Saturday in the University District, the seventh residential project in the northwest community under development by West Campus Development Trust.
Argyle by Avi Urban, the multi-family division of Homes by Avi, will be a six-storey building of one-, two- and three-bedroom suites — some with den options — with 500 square feet to 1,150 square feet of space.
The builder heralds this 128-unit project as a “customizable” residential development. Buyers can pick their colours, cabinetry, flooring, paint and countertops from a wide array of choices. Generally, condo buyers choose their interiors from a predetermined palette curated by professional designers; however, Avi Urban is taking this process one step further.
“We’re offering our home buyers the option of coming to our state-of-the-art selection centre, which is our 6,000-square-foot, award-winning facility, where there are thousands of options,” says Avi Urban marketing co-ordinator Kyla Cottom. “They’ll work directly with a professional interior designer to really personalize their home. It’s not something a lot of multi-family builders offer, so we’re really excited.”
Condo units in the Argyle start in the $280,000s. The building, which will be constructed in the centre of University District across from the central park, will have underground parking and ground-level retail. Cottom says there will be twice the commercial space than what will be available in Avi Urban’s current condo project, August, which is now 80 per cent sold.
“The amenities in University District are incredible. There will just be more accessibility at Argyle,” Cottom says.
The Saturday launch will feature live music and food and beverage samples.
Visitors can view renderings of all the available floor plans and tour a one-bedroom suite set up in University District’s Discovery Centre, open noon to 5 p.m. weekends and from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Friday at 4410 University Ave. N.W.
