MCNEILL, Jodi Leanne

-

1989 - 2019

With profound sorrow, the family announces the passing on November 4, 2019 of Jodi Leanne Mcneill, beloved daughter of Nancy Gant and Ken Mcneill (Sana), during a struggle with major depression and anxiety. Jodi is survived by her parents; her grandmother, Louise Gant; her partner, Abdullah Al-ani; her loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Jodi was predeceased by her brother, Justin. We have lost an exceptionally kind, selfless and generous human being, fierce in her brilliance. Jodi earned scholarships to Mcgill University, and then to Oxford University, graduating both with distinction. Jodi was first and foremost a humanitarian, determined to make a difference in the world. As a teenager, she organized a Gulu Walk in Calgary, to raise money for children in Uganda. Her many accomplishments include volunteering in India and Africa. Jodi worked hard to make this world a better place. As a research analyst, she put her care and concern for the environment into action. Jodi was a true friend, cherished by her family, adored by children, and respected by all who engaged in conversation with her. A private person, Jodi lived with integrity. She was an angel who came for a short visit. There will be a private service at a later date.
