LOWRY TO PLAY IN ALL-STAR GAME

Toronto Raptor Kyle Lowry, pictured, is one of 14 reserve players named to play in the 2020 NBA All-star Game on Feb. 16 in Chicago. The 33-year-old guard sets a team record with his sixth all-star selection. He’s averaging 19.8 points and 7.4 assists per game while shooting 34.4 per cent from three-point range in 36 games. Lowry joins teammate Pascal Siakam, who was picked as a starter. Lowry joins Miami’s Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler,

Milwaukee’s Khris Middleton, Indiana’s Domantas Sabonis, Philadelph­ia’s Ben Simmons, and Boston’s Jayson Tatum from the Eastern Conference. Western Conference reserves are Utah’s Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, Brandon Ingram from New Orleans, Denver’s Nikola Jokic, Portland’s Damian Lillard, and OKC’S Chris Paul and Houston’s Russell Westbrook. The reserves were selected by the NBA’S 30 coaches.
