New details about the disappearance of Calgary man Marshal Iwaasa have surfaced nearly three months after he was last seen.

Iwaasa’s sister, Paige Bri, posted to the public Find Marshal Iwaasa Facebook page that her brother was still in Lethbridge on Nov. 18, the day after he was last seen leaving his mother’s home.

The post said Lethbridge police confirmed he was in the north side industrial area between Sherring and Churchill Industrial Park around 8:30 a.m. that Monday morning.

According to the family, Iwaasa was supposed to return to Calgary the day he left his mother’s home in Lethbridge. One week after he was last seen, his truck was found burned out in the backcountry near Pemberton, B.C., north of Whistler. B.C. RCMP searched for just over a week after the vehicle was found on Nov. 25.

Lethbridge police took over the missing-person investigation from the B.C. RCMP but the departments continue to work together with help from Calgary police.

The family is asking anyone in the Sherring and Churchill Industrial Park area or businesses nearby to review their security camera footage from November.

Iwaasa is described as five feet 11 inches tall and approximately 170 pounds, with brown eyes, shoulder-length brown hair that is usually tied back and a moustache.

At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a green hoody, a grey tuque, red high-top shoes and black pants. Lethbridge police declined to comment on the ongoing investigation.
